The Castle Museum of Vitré

The museum which is housed in the castle has been built in 1876 by Arthur de La Borderie, a Vitreans Historian to provide an encyclopedic history of the period. It tells the story of the medieval fortified castle through its décor, private apartments, decorative arts, apothecary, and more.

The Museum of Rochers Sévigné

The Brittany residence of Madame de Sévigné after her marriage to Henri de Sévigné in 1644.
The castle has kept the traditional layout of Bretons manors. In the orangerie, the chapel and medieval tower, an exhibition of items, furniture and portraits introduce the life of Madame de Sévigné.
